Important Note:

The link above is a link to an online copy (stored in Yahoo's search archives) of one of Mr. Todd Thompson's bogus SVHS webpages he set up on verizon.net, a private internet service provider.

These private website pages were up, viewable and available on internet, complete with unauthorized pictures of past and present SVHS students, until mid-afternoon on Thursday, October 23, 2008.

Mike Rutherford, Assistant Superintendent of Wayne County Schools, had Mr. Todd Thompson take down the actual webpages during the school day, after 6th period, on Thursday, October 23, 2008.

Mr. Rutherford stated that "they" checked over the summer to make sure the private bogus website was down.

During a three-hour meeting in May 2008, when asked about the seizure & return to parents of all unauthorized photos of students, Gary Adkins told the SVHS LSIC Chair and SVHS Principal that Mr. Todd Thompson, via phone, assured him they had all been destroyed.

If, indeed, Mr. Thompson re-loaded the pages and re-activated the site, besides obviously lying to the Superintendent of Schools, that constitutes both re-offense of WVDE & Wayne County Safe & Acceptable Use of Internet policies and direct insubordination, which are both cause for termination.

Not only was he not suspended, pending termination, on Thursday - he was not even disciplined - and again reported for work at SVHS the next day.

OK. HERE WE GO - More Info:
There was indeed a suspension on the "RECOMMENDED PERSONNEL MATTERS" Board Approved, Date: October 28, 2008 list from Tuesday's Board meeting. Not Mr. Todd Thompson, but someone else at another Wayne County school. Preliminary info indicates this suspension may be related to a violation of both the WVDE and Wayne County Safe & Acceptable Use of Internet policies.

When did they discover this employee's offense? Was it before Mike Rutherford's discovery on Thursday, October 23, 2008 of Mr. Todd Thompson's violation (again) of WVDE & Wayne County Acceptable Use of Internet polices by his re-posting multiple bogus SVHS webpages containing unauthorized photos of current and former SVHS students and soliticing inappropriate contact with minors and/or students via his WVNET access email?

OK. The CLOCK's ticking on that.

TICK. TICK. TICK.

The Superintendent must act. The Board must act.

The next Board Meeting is not until (Thursday) November 13th! It is supposed to be the big (once a year meeting) where all the LSICs from all the local elementary schools, middle schools, and SVHS (8 schools total) meet and the principals give their "Our School is Doing Great" reports to the Board.
