Friday:?????????? Mr. Todd Thompson is NOT at SVHS today. ABSENT FOUR DAYS in a row. Is this job abandonment with no notice again? Has he finally been suspended? Or is he once again on "administrative paid leave"? Is he being paid for this day?
SVHS Parents, Students & Employees have a right to know what is going on.

For years Wayne County (Central Office) has followed their own set of rules. Finally we have someone with resolve to stand up and tell the good ole' boys that we aren't going to take it any more. Karen, my hat is off to you. You go girlfriend!
Well it's more than just me. And we are definitely going. And when we're standing at the end of this, I pray there are some real results and real, lasting change. There are absolutely no checks and balances anywhere I can see. Many foxes in charge of the henhouse. For a long time.
A woman who is finally willing to take on the Foxes!! you go girl - my hat is off to you also. It's about time someone had the nerve to go public with this and stand up to them. I applaud you.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. I wish people knew all the waste we see everyday in the system. Directors whooping it up at "conferences" soon to be named administrators in attendance and our kids doing without needed supplies. I don't fully blame the elected board members, they only know what they are told. So, call them and let them know what goes on at your school. Then we can see if they will stand up for what's right. This type of problem is not only at SVHS.
To the last two comments-
Like I said before, it's not just me. As far as the going public, sure wasn't exactly my 1st choice. Maybe I'm naive, but I thought going out there last April 1 with everything we had, following all the protocols, they couldn't do anything else besides terminate. Sure was wrong on that. So the going public thing, we didn't have much choice. I've always tried to work with the system, sometimes around it a little, to get things fixed or done in schools. Never planned on stomping on it (even though things have gotten really slimy the last couple of years).
As far as the iceberg, you're exactly right. I am sick to death of school's begging for everything while money's being poured down a rat-hole for, among other things, those so called "Conferences" at state resorts, talk about champagne on a beer budget. Time to hit AA in this County. Top to Bottom. Teachers selling candy bars to buy a copier for their school. A copier? And toner cartridges for their printer. And an elementary PTO buying the school a riding lawnmower to mow their field and front yard with. A lawnmower? And math workbooks. That was a good one. The County didn't even buy them workbooks. As far as the Board Members, sort of on the fence on that one. Thought that way for a while. Not so sure now. Some know a great deal. And some where whooping it up right along with the Superintendent at said "Conference". And have taken some interesting "trips" out-of-state through the years. It will definitely be interesting to see where they stand on all this now.
